Chris Kimball, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Chris Kimball was born and raised in the Emmett Valley and is a 2008 graduate of Emmett High School. He then attended Idaho State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2013. From there, he attended Pacific University’s College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon graduating in 2017 with his Doctorate of Optometry. He enjoys practicing rural optometry where he gets to see patients of all ages and treat a wide range of ocular diseases with an emphasis on specialty contact lenses.
He is married to Larissa, also an Emmett native, and has two boys, Cooper and heart warrior Daxton. In their spare time, they enjoy many outdoor activities, traveling near and far, and making memories with family and friends. When not in the clinic, you can find Chris fishing or on the golf course.
Laurissa Shane
Office Manager
Laurissa worked front desk and reception at an established dermatology clinic in Boise prior to joining Gem Vision. She is excited to expand on her medical office experience in the field of optometry. She loves living in Emmett and looks forward to strengthening the community through the services offered at Gem Vision.
Laurissa and her husband, John, have a full house with three dogs, two cats, a couple of goats, a young daughter and son. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the movies, traveling, and getting outside for walks with friends or family.
Sandra Stafford
Optician
Sandra has worked in optical for over 18 years and brings a wide array of knowledge and skill to the Gem Vision team. Optical is her passion but she also has experience in other clinic roles such as front desk, billing, pre-testing, and more. She loves interacting with the community in her role.
Sandra and her husband have two children who were born and raised here in Emmett. She likes to spend time with family and friends, travel, try new restaurants and see new things. She is also a car enthusiast especially for late 1960’s Mopar muscle cars.
Holly Conrad
Optometric Technician
Holly was born and raised in Emmett. Her professional background is in the pharmaceutical industry. She is passionate about helping and interacting with community members and she has thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills in the field of optometry.
Holly and her husband, Ryan, enjoy spending their free time in the outdoors fishing, hunting, camping, or riding their ATV. They also love spending time with friends, family, and their two dogs, Marlee and Leia.
